welcome

At 3 years old my son has been diagnosed with a social development delay and Sensory Integration Disorder. He also has an allergy to Artificial Food Coloring. This is our story, our battle, and this is a life that I hold dear. One child's stamp, paint, lipgloss, snack, or pretend tattoo on the playground is my son's kryptonite. If he comes into contact with any form of artificial food coloring his vocabulary drops to 2 word phrases, he forgets how to use a fork, is obsessing and crying, throwing himself into objects, and doesn't even know who he is or that it is days later from the dye ingestion. One harmless kiss from a girl that just ate a red popsicle or has chapstick on is all it takes. And everyday I am thankful that I know that it is dye that does this to my child. This is why I want artificial food coloring banned in America. This is why I feel it is up to us, the public to speak up and catch up with the rest of the world. This petroleum byproduct that we are feeding our youth must be banned here as it is in Europe. What is more important, our children? Or the companies that are saving a few bucks while autism, developmental delays, and ADHD are on the rise along with the amount of artificial food color ingested?
